The Beginning of Country Music
Country Music actually came from IRELAND!
Something that has consistently wondered me is the reality that while country music is one of the most popular genres of music in the United States, outside of the country it is not as popular. In truth, if you head on over to the United Kingdom you will find that it is an incredible niche genre. Why is this bothering me? Well, it is because country music history can be traced back to the Irish, who naturally are near to the United Kingdom (just a couple of miles over the water in truth, with half of Ireland, thought about part of the United Kingdom). On this page, I wish to take a little appearance at its roots. This is before any music recordings or the like. This was when music was a form of entertainment and not simply a way to pay the rent.
Country music has been going strong for over three century in the Southern part of North America. It was not up until the 1920s that it began to gain traction, though. So, where did it all start? It began with a group of Irish immigrants who chose to settle in the Appalachian Mountains. Certainly, North America is an extremely far away from Ireland. The boat journey was horrendous, to begin with, and naturally, space was restricted. Those that went to America could only take their most treasured ownerships with them. Everything else was left in the house. Lots of Irish treasured their instruments, and it was those that they handled this boat journey.
Irish Fiddle as an important tool
The Irish preferred to use the fiddle, the noises which are heard in country music to this very day. The reason that they enjoyed the fiddle so much was since it had such a vibrant range. One 2nd you could be playing the many positive kinds of music possible, and the next 2nd you might be producing something that was almost mournful. In its history, it was not just the Irish fiddle that played a roll, though. The banjo acted (from West Africa), the Mandolin (Italy) and even the Dulcimer (Germany). You got a right mix of instruments.
Little hint of African Music
It was born out of a clash of cultures. Many individuals do not recognize this. However, it has a variety of its roots in African music. It was born out of the white and black artists in the southern areas of the country beginning to play together. In truth, country music history shows us that at that time Country Music had the tendency to be a great deal more ‘African’ hit than European influenced. The design has fit together too much nowadays to inform, though. It just grew from here. As the music style began to spread around the area increasingly more, individuals started to present new aspects into it. This is an always progressing form of music. What we considered as a country all those years ago is absolutely nothing near what is considered country music today. That is why it is so amazing. We never understand where the music is going to take us next.
